If you encounter content on Pexels that you believe is illegal, harmful, or otherwise in breach of our standards, you can report it in two ways:
- Flag it directly: On desktop and mobile web browser, click the flag icon to report a violation. In the mobile app, tap the three dots at the top of the media page and select 'Report Media'.
- Submit a form: Use this form to report the content.
When submitting a report, please include as much detail as possible - for example, a description of the issue and the URL of the content. If you believe the content is also illegal under EU law, please indicate this in the form and include: which EU country's law you believe applies, and which specific law you think the content breaches (if known). This helps us review your report more effectively. Anyone can submit a report, whether or not they have a Pexels account.
What happens next
When we become aware of content which violates our standards, we may take one or more of the following actions. Generally, we will notify the content owner and explain our decision.
- Content removal: The content is removed from Pexels.
- Account suspension: Temporary or permanent suspension of access to Pexels.
Accounts that are primarily used to violate our standards or cause serious harm may be disabled immediately. Repeated violations over time may also result in permanent suspension.
