Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
- I don't see an update.
Updates roll out gradually, so they can take a day or two to reach everyone. To make the store check again, pull down on the updates list (iOS) or close and reopen the Play Store (Android).
- The store says my device isn't supported, or the update isn't offered.
The latest version needs iOS 15.1 or later or Android 7.0 or later. To check and update your system, go to Settings → General → Software Update (iOS) or Settings → System → Software update (Android). If your device can't run these versions, you'll stay on the last version that supports it.
- The update is stuck on "Pending" or "Waiting".
Check that you have a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection and enough free storage. Other app downloads may be queued ahead of Pexels. Restarting your device often fixes this.
- There isn't enough storage.
Free up some space by deleting unused apps, photos or videos, then try again.
- I keep seeing a message to upgrade in the app.
That means your version is too old to keep working properly. Tap "Update" to go straight to the store. If you tap "No, thanks", the message will come back the next time you open the app.
- Will I lose my collections, likes or account when I update?
No. Your account and content are stored on Pexels' servers, so updating keeps everything. You may need to log in again in rare cases.
- The app crashes or behaves strangely after updating.
Close the app completely and reopen it. If that doesn't help, delete and reinstall the app from the store, then log back in.
